VACCINATION

Vaccination is a very important part of the preventative healthcare we offer at Willows, reducing the risk of serious infectious diseases for our pets.
Should any cause for concern be found in your pet’s health check, we will recommend the vaccination be postponed and treatment will be recommended for the problem found. If a diagnosis cannot be made through the clinical examination, you will be advised of further tests to aid diagnosis. Only after this concern has been treated will you be advised that the routine vaccinations can be carried out.
• Dogs are routinely vaccinated against parvo virus, distemper, leptospirosis, hepatitis. We also advise clients to vaccinate against kennel cough, especially if they do intend to kennel their dogs, take them to shows, training classes or socialize them with other dogs.
• Cats are regularly vaccinated for flu, enteritis and leukaemia. A kennel cough vaccine is also available for cats.
• Rabbits are vaccinated against myxomatosis, Rabbit haemorrhagic disease (RHD) and RHD2.
