The importance of pet health checks

Unlike humans, our pets aren’t able to tell us that they have a problem such as a toothache, earache, reduced vision or a pain in their abdomen. It is only when such problems become very severe that they will develop outward signs of disease, for example by becoming lethargic, showing evidence of being in pain (e.g. lameness, difficulty getting up/jumping, crying, yelping, not wanting to be touched etc.), bumping into things or going off their food. It is therefore very important that our pets are given regular health checks by a Vet in order to catch these problems early on.
The regular health check itself is just as important as vaccination as this allows us to spot problems early and to give assistance with routine healthcare issues such as exercise, diet, worming, and dental care which are all very important aspects in keeping your pet as healthy as possible.
